Driver killed in single vehicle crash on County Road 21 near New Paris

One person was killed in a rollover crash near New Paris.

The collision happened around 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, on County Road 21 north of County Road 142, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

A 2007 Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound on C.R 21 when the driver lost control of the vehicle, then drove off the roadway and struck a guard rail. The vehicle then flipped and the driver was ejected.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to Elkhart County Sheriff’s investigators.
