Man shot in South Bend walks into hospital for treatment

A 20-year-old man was shot in South Bend. It happened around 2 p.m. on Monday, March 11, in the 100 block of N. Walnut Street.

Officers were sent to the area on a ShotSpotter activation as well as citizen calls for shots fired.

As officers were arriving, the victim walked into the hospital with a wound to his upper body.

There is no word of any suspects or arrests or information on what led to the shooting.
