Mims sentenced to life in prison for two shooting deaths in Benton Harbor

It’s life in prison without parole for Antwan Mims for the shooting deaths of two men in Berrien County.

Mims was found guilty of two counts of first degree premeditated murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and two felony weapons counts back in February.

The shooting happened in March, 2018, at a party in Benton Harbor.

Mims captured in Georgia in August, about a month after authorities announced he was added to the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted.

An appeal of his sentence is underway.
