Certain Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies being recalled

Some Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies have been recalled due to what’s being called “an unexpected solidified ingredient.”

A press release from the Mondelz Global company says the limited voluntary recall is for certain Chewy Chips Ahoy 13oz cookies with the specific UPC code and certain “best by” dates listed below.

The company says the affected cookies should NOT be eaten.

The cookies in question have a retail UPC of 0 44000 03223 4. This is ONLY for products with the best when used by dates of 07SEP2019, 08SEP2019, 14SEP2019, and 15SEP2019.

In their press release, Mondelz Global LLC said, “Consumers can contact the company at 1-844-366-1171, 24 hours a day to get more information about the recall. Consumer Relations specialists are available Monday-Friday, 9am to 6pm EDT.”
