Charges filed in connection with shooting of IUSB athletes

Charges have been filed against a man in connection with the shooting that injured two IUSB Basketball Players last month.

Police say Myron Draine faces charges of carrying a handgun without a license, criminal recklesness, and aggravated batter.

The shooting happened on March 31 at a party in a house on North Notre Dame Avenue. Three people arrived at the part and created a scene that resulted in the shots being fired.

One of the victims was shot in the neck and is paralized from the neck down. The other victim was grazed.

Draine’s initial hearing will be April 30.
