A 36-year-old Dowagaic woman was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after police received complaints about somebody looking into windows.
It happened late Friday night. Police were sent to the 200 block of Dewey Street on a call that the suspect was laying in yards, in the roadway and taking off her clothes.
Investigators say the woman admittd she had been smoking meth.
The Dowagiac Police Department issued the following information regarding the disturbance:
On Friday, 5/3/19, at approximately 11:30 P.M., Dowagiac Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Dewey St. for a female subject who was seen walking through yards and looking into windows of residence. While responding officers were advised that the subject was now laying in several yards and the roadway in the area and taking off her clothes.
Officers located the subject and determined that she was under the influence of some type of drug. Upon speaking with her she advised that she had recently smoked meth and was affected by this. Officers spoke with neighbors who advised that the female subject had been walking through their gardens and yards and was walking up to residences and looking in their windows.
Officers arrested the 36 year old female subject from Dowagiac for disorderly conduct. She was lodged at the Cass County Jail. All charges are pending authorization from the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office. The name of the subject is being withheld pending arraignment.
