A man has been accused of breaking into a CVS store to get coffee.

It happened around 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at the store in the 200 block of N. Main Street in Mishawaka.

A witness helped detain Carl Bauer, 36, who was one of two people he spotted kicking the glass of the front door of the pharmacy store on North Main Street, according to Mishawaka Police, as reported by ABC 57.

The witness also said he saw Bauer attack one of the store’s employees.

The witness intervened on her behalf after she was knocked down.

That employee suffered minor injuries and was shaken up.

While being transported from the scene, police say Bauer damaged the inside of the police car, ABC 57 reported.

Bauer was expected to appear in court on Friday.
