Clay Intermediate Student suspended for having a gun at school

A student at Clay Intermediate Academy has been suspended after it was discovered that he had a gun during dismissal.

Police say they confiscated the weapon from the 13 year-old boy Monday, and several other students were suspended in connection with the incident.

Parents were contacted about the situation on Tuesday and the School Corporation encourages everyone at the schools to remain vigilant to avoid potentially dangerous situations.
