Former Governor Rick Snyder withdraws from Harvard fellowship

Amidst harsh criticism after the appointment was announced, former Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has withdrawn from a fellowship at Harvard University.

Wednesday, he tweeted that he will turn down the offer from the Harvard Kennedy School for a year-long appointment as senior research fellow.

The Ivy League university was hit hard with a social media backlash, which cited Snyder’s handling of the Flint water crisis.
