Elkhart woman, 68, killed in crash on U.S. 12 in Cass County

An Elkhart woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle that blew through a stop sign at U.S. 12 and Kessington Road in Cass County.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. on Monday, July 22, when a 20 year-old Indianapolis  resident was driving northbound on Kessington Road and failed to stop at the stop sign, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle that was struck was driven by 68-year-old Margaret Elaine Willis.

Willis was extracted from the vehicle and died at the scene, the sheriff’s office stated.

The collision remains under investigation.
