A Cass County K9 unit located a missing person Tuesday night.

Sheriff Richard Behnke says deputies responded to an address on Pine Lake Street near M-60 around 9 p.m.

A 46 year-old woman had reportedly walked into the woods near her home and had not returned. Family and friends were concerned about her well-being because she has a number of medical conditions and doesn’t frequently leave the house.

Eleven hours after she went missing, she was located by K9 Nellie, a Bloodhound who works with the Department.

The woman was cold and disoriented, and was transported to a hospital in Niles.
