Goshen flags at half-staff for late police officer

Goshen Mayor Jeremy Stutsman ordered flags at City offices to be lowered to half-staff Thursday and Friday, and is inviting residents to do the same.

This is in honor of Goshen Police Officer Kevin Koontz, who passed away Monday after a battle with cancer.

Stutsman says Officer Koontz served and protected the community for 29 years, and then returned to serve as a Special Police Officer for another three years.

His viewing will be Friday from 10 to Noon at Grace Community Church, followed by a funeral at 1 PM.
