The Fun F/X warehouse caught fire on Friday, July 26, on Sample Street west of Chapin in South Bend.

Fire crews were called to the scene around 4:30 p.m. Smoke plumes rose high in the sky and could be seen for miles.

Crews battled the flames for several hours. Though still burning, the blaze was brought under control by late Friday night, but the warehouse had partially collapsed.

South Bend Fire crews were called back to the warehouse, midday, Saturday, to douse more hot spots.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
