A father and daughter from St. Joseph County have been identified as the victims in a fatal crash that happened in Michigan.

It happened on Tuesday night when police say 52 year old Mark Hezlep of South Bend went off the road and hit a tree; he was taken to the hospital where he died. His daughter 26 year old Casey Emmons of Lakeville died at the scene. The crash happened in Oceana County Michigan.

Police do not believe that drugs or alcohol was involved, but suspect that fatigue may have been a factor. They are continuing to investigate.
