Two men hurt after vehicle crash and collision into home in Cass County

Two people are recovering after a two-vehicle crash and collision into a home.

The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Sep. 13, when a 68-year-old Granger man failed to stop at the intersection of Marcellus Highway and Decatur Road in Volinia Township, according ot the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The Granger man struck a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Dowagiac man. The Dowagiac man’s vehicle then left the road and struck the home, the sheriff’s office stated.

The Dowagiac man was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The Granger man was treated and released.

It is believed that alcohol was not a factor and seat belts were used, the sheriff’s office stated.

Factors into the crash are still being investigated.
