Bourbon man faces felonies in strangling, battery of two women

A Bourbon man was arrested after allegedly kicking down the front door of a house then strangling and battering two women inside.

Our partners at the Times-Union (link to the full story) report that 20-year old Baily Reichert was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Friday afternoon and faces charges of burglary, battery while armed with a deadly weapon, battery causing serious bodily injury and strangulation.

Court documents state that Reichert forcefully entered the home, hit one woman on the head and then jumped on top of the other woman and pushed his forearm on her throat to the point where she could not breathe, and also pressed a knife to her throat.

Reichert’s bond is set at $100,000.
