Final pass of leaf pick-up in South Bend ReLeaf program

The City of South Bend’s Department of Public Works is extending its Fall ReLeaf program.

When crews finish their second pass through the city, they will begin a final pass starting with Zone 1.

Crews will continue leaf pickup street by street as weather allows, but there is no guarantee that every resident will receive a third pickup. Residents do not need to call 311 to request a third pass.

Due to weather, the City cannot guarantee that a third round will be completed so residents are encouraged to bag their leaves and request an extra yard waste pickup at southbendin.gov/ywextrapickup or by calling 311.

Homeowners are allowed one yard waste extra pickup of up to 10 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags for free.

Residents participating in the City’s Yard Waste program can also put leaves in their yard waste bins until the week of December 16.

Residents can view leaf pickup in real-time on the City’s Fall ReLeaf Interactive Map, which can be found at southbendin.gov/releafmap.
