An Elkhart man was shot during an apparent home invasion in Cass County.

It happened on Friday, Dec. 6, at a home in the 20000 block of Marcellus Highway in Volinia Township.

The man who shot the Elkhart man told sheriff’s deputies the two got had gotten into a fight, according to 95.3MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The Elkhart man was shot in the abdomen, took off and later arrived at Elkhart General Hospital.

No arrests have been made. The prosecutor’s office is reviewing the incident.
