Possible case of stranger danger under investigation in Elkhart

A possible case of stranger danger is under investigation in Elkhart.

It was around 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, when a mother told Elkhart Police a man in a van offered candy to her children.

It happened in the parking lot of a car wash in the 26000 block of South Nappanee Street.

The woman described the man as between 60 and 70 years old with a gray beard and scars on his cheeks.

He was driving a 1990’s model tan-colored GMC Safari. She said he took off after she yelled at him.
