A young boy was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle.

The collision happened just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, in the 800 block of Douglas Road.

The child’s condition was not immediately known, as of late Saturday night.

The driver cooperated with police at the scene.
