Convicted child molestor’s request for a new hearing denied by high court

Indiana’s Supreme Court will not take up the case of a man who was sentenced to 100 years in prison for molesting 20 children.

Michael Begin, 20, had hoped for a new hearing after pleading guilty last year to 20 counts of child molestation while he worked at a YMCA and an elementary school. He was given the maximum sentence of 120 years with the last 20 to be served on probation.

The Indiana Court of Appeals rejected his request for a sentence reduction in October.
