Officials in Elkhart County are considering combining the two court houses.

A study is underway to weigh the pros and cons, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

The original court house in Goshen hosts the circuit court and two of the six superior courts.

The newest court in Elkhart holds the other four superior courts and the juvenile magistrate’s office.

The Elkhart County Council will receive recommendations from the study, and decide whether to approve funding for the consolidation.
