Two people shot on Pearl Street in Elkhart taken to hospital

Two people are recovering after being shot in Elkhart. It happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the 800 block of Pearl Street.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 25-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man on
the porch of the home.

Both victims had a gunshot wound to their legs.

Both victims were transported to the Elkhart General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The victims stated they were shot by unknown black males. The victims were unable to provide any further information on the suspects.
