Michigan putting Secretary of State kiosks in some Meijer stores across the state

Michigan’s Secretary of State Office has made it possible for people to renew their license plates at kiosks that have been placed in some Meijer stores.

It’s a similar agreement to the one the state established with Kroger locations last year.

Twenty-eight of the easy-to-use self-service stations have been placed in Meijer locations across the state, in an effort to offer more convenience to Michigan motorists looking to renew their registrations.

The closest Meijer kiosks to our area, however, are in Kalamazoo and Portage — but similar kiosks can be found at the Secretary of State Offices in Niles, Benton Harbor, Paw Paw and Sturgis.
