A teacher from a school in Benton Harbor has been fired from her job after a disturbing video appeared to show her inciting violence among her students.

The video was leaked late last week, and has since been taken down. In it first graders are clearly engaging in some form of violence against a classmate, and in the background it sounds as if the teacher is encouraging them. This happened at the International Academy at Hull Elementary.

Benton Harbor Schools Superintendent Dr. Andre Townsel stated almost immediately that he would be meeting with the teacher, leading to her termination Monday.

He called the incident a “horrible thing” and says their goal is to make sure it never happens again.
