South Bend schools vote to continue paying staff, offering lunches to students

The South Bend Community School Corporation has voted unanimously to continue paying salaries to all of their staff throughout the entirety of the coronavirus shutdown.

The schools are also focused on continuing to provide lunches for students from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at several locations, and making the shift to remote learning.

The school locations where kids can get a meal are:

Brown
Coquillard
Harrison
Lincoln
Madison
Muessel
Monroe

Since the schools are closed, does that mean we will get a rebate on our property taxes that pay for the schools?????
