Michigan health officials report the state’s first coronavirus death

The State of Michigan has had its first coronavirus death.

Beaumont Health in Wayne County says a man in his 50s died Wednesday morning as a result of complications from COVID-19.

He suffered from additional underlying health conditions.

No other details have been released out of respect for the privacy of the patient and his family.

Michigan’s total number of positive tests for the virus is more than 60.
