The Potawatomi Zoo has officially delayed the start of their season.

The zoo was due to open on April 3, but now say there is “no concrete date set for when it will open.”

The zoo said this was being done in the interest of social distancing and per recommendations from the St. Joseph County Health Department and their zoo association. They will continue to evaluate the situation for the next few weeks to determine the date for their opening.

Affected programs and events will be cancelled as needed and the zoo will notify the impacted groups.
