The Hilton Garden Inn has temporarily laid off nearly 90 workers due to the sudden halt in travel.

The South Bend Tribune reports many hotels in the area are doing the same until travel is back to normal.

The DoubleTree in downtown South Bend is closed, temporarily, until June.

The executive director of Visit South Bend tells the South Bend Tribune more hotels could follow suit.
