Michigan government working to make sure everyone behind on bills has water service

State leaders in Michigan are working to make sure water is restored to residents during the COVID-19 emergency.

State leaders are encouraging Michiganders without residential water service due to non-payment to reach out to their local water departments for re-connection. All homes in the state without water are entitled to be reconnected under an Executive Order signed by Governor Whitmer.

Anyone unable to reach their water provider should reach out to the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy at 1-800-662-9278.
