Soapy Gnome logo; Official Facebook Page

It happened sometime overnight Wednesday. The Soapy Gnome on Washington St. reported the crime to the public over Facebook, and says that the person responsibly has already been caught.

Part of the post also read “I’m not going to let fear deter me from showing support for our Black brothers and sisters. For too long, our neighbors have feared bricks, bullets and bombs coming into their homes schools and churches. Until we are all free, none of us are free.”

The owner also encourages people to be good to one another and listen “not for what we want to hear, but what they truly are saying. The window has already been boarded up and the sign is back in place
