Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer tests positive for COVID-19

The Mayor of Warsaw says he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The city announced Tuesday that Mayor Joe Thallemer sought testing when he noticed a slight fever. He has been working from home since Wednesday, June 24.

The mayor says he is thankful that he feels well and is able to do his job remotely while he follows state guidelines for isolation.

Thallemer also recommends that anyone with symptoms or concerns that they may have been exposed to someone who has tested positive should get tested immediately. He also says he’s unsure about when or where he was exposed to the coronavirus.
