Drug kingpen on death row in Terre Haute executed

Dustin Honken has been executed at the federal prison at Terre Haute. He was pronounced dead at 4:32 p.m. on Friday, July 17.

Honken was on death row for killing five people in 1993. He was running a drug operation when he killed two associates, one of their girlfriends, and her daughters, ages 10 and 6.

His final words were “Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for me.” He did not show any remorse and did not apologize.

This is the third execution at the prison this week. Daniel Lewis Lee and Wesley Purkey were also put to death.
