Goshen woman, 47, killed in chain-reaction motorcycle crash on U.S. 20

A Goshen woman was killed in a chain-reaction crash involving three motorcycles.

The collision happened around 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, on U.S. 20 near County Road 21 when one motorcycle struck the back of another which then collided with a third, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman killed, Angela Gatto, 47, was a passenger on the motorcycle that was first struck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four others were taken to hospitals with several injuries included broken bones, cuts, internal bleeding and head injuries.

The crash is being investigated by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team and the Elkhart County Coroner’s Office.
