One of five found guilty in connection with abuse of 3-year-old boy

One of the five people accused of abusing a 3-year-old Nappanee boy has been found guilty of child neglect.

In March 2018, police were called to a Nappanee home and found the boy severely beaten.

He had injuries such as pieces of his scalp missing, his septum cut out, arms broken, and fingernails in his cheeks.

Jammy Stacy, 43, of Elkhart was found guilty of child neglect Friday in Kosciusko County Court.

She’s the third person to be convicted in the case and will be sentenced Aug. 31.

She faces up to 17 years in prison. Stacy’s aunt and mother have also been charged.
