Elkhart man shot in back on 16th Street in Goshen

A 22-year-old man was shot in the back in Goshen.

Police officers were called to Goshen General Hospital around 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug, 22, on the report of a person suffering a gunshot wound.

It was later learned the shooting happened in the 1400 block S 16th St, Goshen.

The Elkhart man’s injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening and the victim was treated and released.

The suspect is not known, though it is believed there is no threat to the neighborhood, according to Goshen Police.
