Berrien County K9 officers receive donation of vests

Three K9s with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office will be getting a donation of body armor.

Blek, Maxx and Mika will recieve bullet and stab-resistant vests thanks to a donation from the non-profit Vested Interest.

The vests will arrive in the next 8 to 10 weeks.

Each vest is custom fitted for the canine officer and the organization has provided more than 4,000 vests to dogs working in departments across the country.
