Elkhart man recovering after fiery crash involving a semi

An Elkhart man is recovering from injuries after the pick-up truck he was driving was struck by a semi, and then caught fire.

The collision happened around 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Sep. 16, on State Road 15 at the intersection with County Road 46

The semi driver was in the southbound left turn only lane on State Road 15 but turned right from the left lane into the path of the pickup, according to Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigators.

The pickup then caught fire after impact. The 45-year-old man driving the pickup was taken to Goshen Hospital with leg and neck pain. The driver of the semi was checked out by medics at the scene was cited for unsafe lane movement.

This was my crash I was in the pickup truck and I’m ok sore few cuts and bruises
