Wednesday, Oct. 7, marked the first court appearance for the man charged in a fatal shooting at Mishawaka’s University Park Mall.

Dazhon Howard is charged with murder with a felony firearm sentencing enhancement. Investigators say Howard shot and killed Delaney Crosby last month during an argument inside the mall.

Howard turned himself in more than two weeks later.

He’s set to return to court in early December.
