All Penn-Harris-Madison School District buses will soon have stop-arm cameras. The board of trustees has unanimously approved a proposal to purchase the systems and retro fit them to their buses.
Earlier this year they met with law enforcement about bus stop security, and which equipment was best to purchase. The plan also includes higher resolution cameras on the inside of the school buses.
The cost will come in at around $3,200 per bus, of which there 120 without cameras currently.
