St. Joseph County Commissioners veto of leaf burning ban overridden

Leaders in St. Joseph County have overridden a veto by commissioners of a leaf burning ban they passed last week.

The ban allows the county to fine people burning leaves in their yard.

St. Joseph County Council Member Joe Canarecci says the bill is intended as a public safety measure since were in the middle of a respiratory pandemic, referring to coronavirus.
