Elkhart County government buildings reopen to walk-ins

Many of the Elkhart County government offices are again open for walk-ins, rather than exclusively by appointment.

On Monday the County Board of Commissioners voted to relax restrictions at the county office building in Goshen and the public services building near Dunlap.

The Elkhart Truth reports that face masks, social distancing and handwashing are still required inside the buildings.

The change does not affect the Elkhart County Courthouse, which takes its direction from the Indiana Supreme Court.
