A man was injured in a shooting early Thursday morning in Elkhart County.

Deputies say it happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. in the 57000 block of Woodrow Street. Witnesses told Sheriff’s Deputies that a silver car left the scene, and Elkhart Police spotted a silver car speeding on Nappanee Street a short time later. They followed the car to a residence on Spruce Lane, and were able to convince 48-year-old Marcus Love to leave the home a short time later.

He was taken into custody on outstanding warrants including drug possession and resisting. Any possible involvement he had in the shooting is not yet known.
