Dr. Fox: Spring sports may actually happen, but with a few restrictions

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

Spring sports are likely to go on as planned in St. Joseph County — albeit with some restrictions in place.

Dr. Mark Fox, the county’s deputy health director, told ABC 57 that he anticipates the South Bend Cubs, to play a full season in the spring and summer after the team’s season was canceled in 2020 because of the pandemic.

Fox says testing efforts have been going really well and prevention efforts are just as well, but he says he is not sure yet when things will get fully back to normal.
