Michigan is expanding vaccine eligibility to people aged 50 and over this month, in two stages
Governor Whitmer’s office announced the expansion on Tuesday.
Starting Monday, March 8, Michiganders over the age of 50 with a pre-existing condition will be able to receive a shot.
On March 22 anyone 50 or older will be eligible to schedule their vaccination.
Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, Michigan’s top health official, says the state’s COVID rates are trending in the right direction, and Governor Whitmer lifted some capacity restrictions on businesses earlier this week.
