Man shot while driving on I-80/94 in northwest Indiana

A man is recovering after being shot while driving on I-80/94.

Indiana State Police say a man walked into Munster Community Hospital around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, March 12, with a gunshot wound.

The man told state troopers that he was driving westbound on I-80/94 between Indianapolis Boulevard and Calumet Avenue when his back window was shot.

The man realized that he had also been shot in the arm, and drove home before heading to the hospital. He’s expected to recover.

State Police say the suspect may drive a silver 2005 to 2010 Audi sedan.
