Man, 33, shot in chest in Michigan City

A 33-year-old man is recovering after being shot in Michigan City.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, in the 200 block of Thurman Avenue.

Police arrived to find the victim suffering a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

A person of interest was identified through the police investigation.

Michigan City Police are asking for any witnesses or anybody with video images of the shooting to contact Detective Corporal Lendell Hood at (219) 874-3221; Extension 1074.
