SWAT officers were called to a situation in Mishawaka Sunday morning.

Dispatch says the call came in shortly after 9 a.m. at the Extended Stay America hotel at Main and Day. A person had allegedly barricaded himself into a room, armed with a sword, and the entire floor was evacuated.

He eventually complied with orders to leave the room and left peacefully with his dog. No one was injured and the humane society took the dog after the man was taken into custody.

There was a warrant for his arrest in another county.
