A new Hard Rock Casino is opening next month in northwest Indiana.

Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana has a target opening date. It will be located at Burr Street and I-94 in Gary, and opens at 5 p.m. on May 14 if all approvals are received from regulators.

The $300 million development began construction in January of last year and was completed during the pandemic. It boasts a 200,000 square-foot casino, six food venues, a sportsbook, a showroom and more.

They are still looking to hire about 300 more people before the doors open to the public.
