Skeletal remains discovered last November have been identified

The skeletal remains of a woman found in a North Liberty creek last year have been identified.

Officials say the remains found in the fall of last year are those of 43 year-old Rachel Zentz of La Paz.

The skeleton was discovered along the creek bed in the 2400 block of Stanton Road on November 28, 2020.

Her manner and cause of death remain under investigation. Officials still ask anyone with information about this investigation to call Michiana Crime Stoppers or the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit.
